About Tom Patterson
Thomas E. Patterson prepares and tries lawsuits for businesses, professionals and entrepreneurs. His book on emergency business litigation: Handling the Business Emergency: Temporary Restraining Orders and Preliminary Injunctions was published by the American Bar Association in 2009.
Prior teachings include online legal education courses and lectures on attorney-client privilege and e-commerce. Prior writings include articles on non-pattern jury instructions and a law review case note on ex parte contacts in administrative proceedings. After serving as a Law Clerk for Justice William G. Clark of the Illinois Supreme Court from 1979-1981, he began his career at a large Chicago law firm. Now, dedicated to helping businesses, professionals and entrepreneurs properly handle business lawsuits while facilitating effective business practices, he offers clients personalized attention at a smaller firm in Chicago.
